Sebastian Seier is currently working as a Consultant at “BET Büro für Energiewirtschaft und technische Planung” in Aachen. His focus is on new business models for utilities, sustainability and strategic advice. Previously, he was working as a consultant with enviacon international in Berlin on behalf of the “Renewables Made in Germany Program” by the German ministry of economic affairs and energy. For the program, Sebastian analyzed and advised on international renewable-energy markets. He was also looking into new markets and business models for energy storage solutions.
Sebastian Seier studied political science and English at the University of Rostock and Sciences Po Rennes. Subsequently, he did his master’s degree at Sciences Po Paris and Freie Universität Berlin where he focused on energy politics (especially
renewables and nuclear energy) and European affairs.
Also, Sebastian produces the German energy podcast Blindstrom which covers all kinds of energy related matters.
