Mariza Montes de Oca-León
Mariza is a Research Assistant at adelphi, Berlin, where she does policy-oriented research for Climate Change mitigation and adaptation. Before, she worked at Centro Mario Molina (Mexico City), in the team that designed the Mexican CO2 tax; and at the National Institute of Ecology, the research branch of the Mexican Environment Ministry. She won the first place in Banamex Economics Award in 2012 for her B.A. thesis, which studied the demand for gasoline consumption in Mexico and alternative policies to phase out the environmentally harmful gasoline subsidy. Mariza is currently a first year MPP student at the Hertie School of Governance.
