Ana Amazo is a consultant in the area of energy policies at Ecofys Germany. Her work focuses primarily on support schemes and auctions for renewables, as well as the communication of the Energiewende. Before joining Ecofys, she worked as an external consultant with the GIZ drafting a “Guide for Policymakers” interested in implementing auctions for renewable energy. As Senior Analyst at E.On/Uniper Global Commodities SE, Andreas Schröder is currently working on natural gas markets. Andreas builds on a long-standing experience in energy economics with a focus on quantitative market analysis. Before joining E.On in September 2015, he worked 2 ½ years at Vattenfall Energy Trading GmbH in Sweden and Germany dealing with carbon markets and renewable energies as well as natural gas. Andreas defended his PhD Thesis on fundamental modelling of power markets in 2013 as part of the Graduate Center of DIW Berlin in collaboration with TU Berlin, supervised by Prof. von Hirschhausen and Prof. Kemfert. He previously obtained a Master’s degree in Economics from Vrije Univeristeit Amsterdam in 2008 where he wrote a Thesis on the EU Emission Trading System. During and after his studies he interned for half-a-year with the European Commission (DG Energy & Transport) and two months with the German Foreign Office on international climate policy topics.

In her professional life, she is working as a Market Analyst at innogy SE in Commercial Development within the Renewables division. In her role, she is responsible for market and competitor analyses of new and existing innogy markets. Before she has worked at Accenture GmbH as a Management Consultant within the utilities business. Regularly, she is working as Media Manager at the annual conferences of the World Economic Forum in Davos. Constanze has more than 10 years of energy and climate policy experience in Brussel and holds a PhD on informal decision-making processes in the European Parliament. She set up the Brussels office of Green Budget Europe, a unique Europe-wide expert platform and provided tailored analysis and financial strategies to the EU institutions, Member States and a wide network of key stakeholders by promoting Environmental Fiscal Reform, i.e. working towards enhancing the energy transition by raising awareness that misaligned fiscal policy leads to false price signals which incentivise pollution, inefficient resource use and the erosion of natural capital. Constanze is also the co-founder of a European think tank on sustainable development as well as a guest lecturer at several universities in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. She has published a wide range of scientific and policy papers on sustainable finance and environmental economics, smart budgeting, circular economy and good governance.

Dina is working as a Manager in the Strategy Consulting Department of Creara Energy Experts in Madrid (pre-merger Eclareon Madrid). Previously to joining Creara, she worked as an Analyst at Idom Consulting, participating among others in projects in the renewable energy sector. Dina has gained close to 9 years of consulting experience focussing mainly on the areas of renewable energies, energy efficiency, and smart grids. The projects in these areas have covered European, North and Latin American, and Asian markets. Dina holds a MSc and Diplôme Grand École of ESCP Europe, having studied in London, Madrid and Paris and completing internships with Akzo Nobel, Arthur D. Little, and GdF Suez. Jonathan is a Master in Public Policy candidate at the Hertie School of Governance. He has a policy analysis concentration focusing on incorporating data analysis and statistics into the intersection of energy policy with digitalization and climate change. While at Hertie, Jonathan took a year of absence for a professional year partly in India, where work revolved around the effects of Industry 4.0 regulation and the effects of digitization for civic engagement by national ministries. Future work aspirations include incorporating data visualization and modelling within his aforementioned fields of focus.

Marie is a PhD student in Economics at Munich’s ifo Institute and LMU Munich. As part of the Center for Energy, Climate and Exhaustible Resources, she is involved in projects and empirical research on the economic effects of climate and energy poli-cies. Currently her main interest is the risk of fossil-based assets becoming stranded due to climate policy, and financial markets’ valuation of such assets. Prior to her PhD position, she worked at the Rotterdam-based policy consultancy Ecorys, spe-cializing in EU projects on energy and climate topics. Olga is currently working at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) supporting the organization of an international conference. Earlier this year she was a fellow of the International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) of the German Bundestag and worked several months with the office of a Member of the German Bundestag Frank Schwabe, the rapporteur of the Social-Democratic-Party Parliamentary Group on climate policy. Previously, Olga was an energy policy intern at SMA Solar Technology AG , a solar energy equipment supplier, and at VNG – Verbundnetz Gas AG, a natural gas wholesaler and importer.
