As Senior Analyst at E.On/Uniper Global Commodities SE, Andreas Schröder is currently working on natural gas markets. Andreas builds on a long-standing experience in energy economics with a focus on quantitative market analysis. Before joining E.On in September 2015, he worked 2 ½ years at Vattenfall Energy Trading GmbH in Sweden and Germany dealing with carbon markets and renewable energies as well as natural gas. Andreas defended his PhD Thesis on fundamental modelling of power markets in 2013 as part of the Graduate Center of DIW Berlin in collaboration with TU Berlin, supervised by Prof. von Hirschhausen and Prof. Kemfert. He previously obtained a Master’s degree in Economics from Vrije Univeristeit Amsterdam in 2008 where he wrote a Thesis on the EU Emission Trading System. During and after his studies he interned for half-a-year with the European Commission (DG Energy & Transport) and two months with the German Foreign Office on international climate policy topics.

Constanze has more than 10 years of energy and climate policy experience in Brussel and holds a PhD on informal decision-making processes in the European Parliament. She set up the Brussels office of Green Budget Europe, a unique Europe-wide expert platform and provided tailored analysis and financial strategies to the EU institutions, Member States and a wide network of key stakeholders by promoting Environmental Fiscal Reform, i.e. working towards enhancing the energy transition by raising awareness that misaligned fiscal policy leads to false price signals which incentivise pollution, inefficient resource use and the erosion of natural capital. Constanze is also the co-founder of a European think tank on sustainable development as well as a guest lecturer at several universities in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Marie is a PhD student in Economics at Munich’s ifo Institute and LMU Munich. As part of the Center for Energy, Climate and Exhaustible Resources, she is involved in projects and empirical research on the economic effects of climate and energy poli-cies. Currently her main interest is the risk of fossil-based assets becoming stranded due to climate policy, and financial markets’ valuation of such assets. Prior to her PhD position, she worked at the Rotterdam-based policy consultancy Ecorys, spe-cializing in EU projects on energy and climate topics. Timothy is an Engineer from Australia who has spent the past ten years working in a variety of positions in the energy field. After initially working in natural gas production he has moved to Berlin to complete an MBA in Energy Management, while working part time on Smart Motor implementation at Siemens. Timothy spent 4 years working in Central Australia. There he was responsible for a 40,000km2 area of gas production and has been involved in a number of interesting and varied energy projects.
