The 14th HEEN Workshop will take place as online seminar on Friday 4th December 2020. It is entitled “Hydrogen: Policy, Technology and Business Case from a German Perspective” (working title)

The workshop format brings HEEN’s membership together with relevant national and international experts from the business, government, academic, and NGO sector in a series of interactive exchanges on a dedicated topic of common interest. The 14th workshop will take place as a 1,5 hour online seminar with three focus topics (15min each and 30min discussion) and respective planned speakers:

  • Policy: German Energy Agency DENA – Jeanette Uhlig, Team lead climate-neutral energies
  • Discussion Expert: E3G – Felix Heilmann, Researcher
  • Technology: International Energy Agency IEA (requested, tbc)
  • Business Case: Sunfire (requested, tbc)

Background: The Hertie Energy & Environment Network (HEEN) is a vibrant international network of young energy and climate experts originated from alumnis of the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. The network aims at promoting a sustainable energy future based on trust, openness, and curiosity by facilitating active dialogue, knowledge exchange and professional development. Established in 2014, HEEN is affiliated with Gemeinnützige Hertie-Stiftung’s “Fellows and Friends” Programme, and currently comprises over 120 members active in public, private and NGO sectors across Europe. Attendees will be around 50 young professionals from the HEEN and extended energy network with several years of work experience in the energy and environment sector.
